What is GHRP-6?

The hexipeptide, GHRP-6, has a structure of a chain that consists of six amino acids. GHRP-6 and is considered to be a HGH (Human Growth Hormone) secretogogue – meaning it is a substance that causes a separate substance to be secreted (in this case, HGH and Ghrelin). GHRP-6 consists of entirely synthetic D-amino acids and is devoid of any opioid activity. Despite the names similarities, GHRP-6 shares no sequence relation with GHRH.
Scientific studies have shown GHRP-6 to exhibit biological activities comparable to the naturally occurring hunger stimulating peptide ghrelin, which is known to protect neurons. In addition, animal testing has shown GHRP-6 can lead to:

  • Increased secretion of IGF-1 by the liver
  • The re-stimulation of the natural production of GH
  • Body fat reduction
  • Muscle mass increase
  • Strength increases
  • Increased rate of healing
  • Stamina increases
  • Positive effects on the central nervous system

GHRP-6 Operational Mechanics

According to scientific research conducted on animal test subjects, the overall operational mechanics of GHRP-6 can be traced to four vital components of an organism:

  • The Pituitary Gland: Responsible for the regulation and control of endocrine system-related bodily functions, from growth and metabolism to pain relief and temperature control.
  • The Central Nervous System: Responsible for the integration and coordination of all information experienced by an animal test subject.
  • The Stomach: Responsible for digestion and the breaking down of food in animal test subjects.
  • The Liver: Vital organ that is responsible for detoxification, protein synthesis, and the production of biochemical vital for digestion.

What Can GHRP-6 Be Used For?

There are a variety of GHRP-6 uses, both in natural and artificial settings, but GHRP-6 has been tested to determine its effect on various hormones and chemicals within animal test subjects. Studies are ongoing to better understand the chemical design of manufactured GHRP-6 and its impact on free fatty acids, rhGH, glucocorticoids, exogenous somaostatin, and neurotransmitters.

In ongoing scientific studies (with animal test subjects) on obesity, GHRP-6 is considered to be a chemical that can potentially help regulate hormone levels to promote body fat reduction, increases in muscle mass, an increased rate of healing, in addition to a general increased well-being and health.

Because GHRP-6 stimulates the secretion and release of HGH from the pituitary gland, the results of what would be expected from synthetic use of GHRP-6 would be similar to what is expected from long-term HGH use. However, the amount of time that Before the released human growth hormone remains in circulation throughout a living organism is far less than synthetic human growth hormone does.

GHRP-6 Side Effects

Various noted side effects from studies conducted on animal test subjects are typically what one would expect from the use of HGH. This is because of the greatly increased HGH levels produced by GHRP-6. It is important to understand GHRP-6 is not a steroid or sex specific hormone. As a result, it can be used by female and male test subjects without worry over androgenic or virilization side effects.

There are two distinct sets of side effects.
